1) First you develop a 3d model, from the use of 3d modelling software. An example of 3d modelling software would be 3D coat or a free 3d modelling software such as 3D slash.

2) Once the 3d modelling has been developed, you can digitally send this model to the 3d printer via your laptop or a wireless enabled device. The 3d printer will begin printing the model via thousands of horizontally sliced layers.
3) Lastly, after waiting a few hours (depending on the complexity or dimensions of the object) your 3d object should be complete!
